The Free Jacks have aligned with Revolution Rugby and their co-owners Ben Herring and Paul Galland to put together the Free Jacks ‘Foundations of Coaching’ certification for New England Coaches. \nThe three-week certification workshop will be led by Ben and Paul. Ben\, The former Assistant Coach of top level professional sides Leicester Tigers\, the Highlanders and the Sunwolves\, has a stellar career of experiences to draw from having also been Assistant Coach for Canada and Japan at the international level and most recently\, Head Coach of Otago Rugby in the Mitre 10 Cup. \nPaul is the Player Development Manager at Otago Rugby and selector for the NZ U20’s. A man familiar with what it entails to best assist a player during their development journey\, Paul is highly engaged with holistic processes such as mental health\, nutrition\, and team building\, overseen facets which can be a game changer for your team. \nThe internationally recognized rugby professional Ben Herring is a world rugby certifier and holds a soft spot for New England Rugby having visited the Free Jacks last season for a two-week crash course with the coaching staff. \nFor those looking to develop leadership\, culture shaping\, and reflective coaching skills to implement towards your practice\, this is the course for you. \nWe know first hand the importance of leadership\, creating great cultures\, reflective coaching processes\, and forming awesome relationships with your players and team around you. We also know first hand\, that these areas aren’t given the acknowledgement they deserve. Many coaches fail here because they aren’t aware of the traps that they are consistently falling in. What are these? A lot of coaches often want to develop culture and leadership within their side but don’t know how. We will show you! \nAt revolution rugby we delve into the Leadership and Culture (the Ls and Cs) aspects of rugby first\, because this is the foundation successful teams have. We will show you real life examples and practical measures in which you can grow the leadership and culture in your team today. \nThe three-week course is complimented by a select range of online videos designed by Revolution Rugby specifically for New England Coaches. Coaches will be required to watch the weekly videos (5-10 minutes) on each of the three topics (Leadership\, Culture\, and Process) prior to the weekly Sunday zoom seminar led by Ben Herring and Paul Galland.
