DESCRIPTION:When: Sunday February 4th\, Sunday February 11th\, Sunday February 18th\, Sunday February 25th\, Sunday March 3rd\, Sunday March 10th \nTime: 1:00pm – 2:00pm (U18 – Junior Jacks) 2:00pm – 3:00pm (U23 – Independents) \nWhere: South Shore YMCA – Turf Field (79 Coddington St\, Quincy\, MA 02169) \nWhat: Led by Free Jacks Academy High-Performance Staff and Players we invite all U18 and U23 aged players to register for a spot in our Winter Development Program for 2024. These six sessions across February and March will be focused on developing Fundamental Skills and working on key aspects of the game to help continue to grow and foster individual skill sets. Athletes will receive high quality coaching and 1 on 1 feedback around different areas of the game and will have the opportunity for the Free Jacks to track their progress through our Academy systems as we head into an exciting 2024 for representative rugby. Register as an individual to join an age appropriate team with local clubs and compete. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Community Coaches! \nIntroducing the Free Jacks Coaching Series for 2024! Across the final three home matches of the Free Jacks regular season\, our high performance coaches will be hosting three 90-minute seminars around different aspects and techniques of the game. This is a fantastic opportunity to up-skill your knowledge and ask any questions of our world class performance staff. Each session will include a 60 minute presentation followed by an interactive Q&A and the chance to watch the Free Jacks play later that day! \n June 2nd\, 10.00am: with Scott Mathie (Attack\, Leadership)  \nJune 16th\, 10.00am: with Pom Simona and Will Webster (Defence\, Scrums\, Lineouts) \nJune 29th\, 1.00pm: with George Petrakos (Strength and Conditioning\, Performance)  \n*Please note times may be subject to change\, participants will be emailed with any updates. \nAbout the coaches:  \nScott Mathie (Head Coach): 2022 MLR Coach of the Year and 2023 MLR Championship winning coach Scott Mathie brings a wrath of experience to this years coaching series\, hailing from Durban South Africa\, Scott has been influential in shaping the dominant side Free Jacks fans have come to love over past seasons. \nWill Webster (Assistant Coach): Joining the the Free Jacks for his second consecutive season is forwards coach Will Webster.  Will has had a wealth of experience packed into a short career with involvements in the Hong Kong and Kenya 7s International programmes. \nPom Simona (Assistant Coach) Defensive specialist Pom Simona joins the Free Jacks in 2024 from Melbourne based Super Rugby side\, the Rebels where he has spent the past eight seasons and introduced defensive technique’s that put Super Rugby on watch. Pom is an expert in player development\, evidenced by the five players who have progressed from his 2019 Melbourne Rising side to feature at the 2023 Rugby World Cup. \nGeorge Petrakos (Head of Strength & Conditioning): Having recently been appointed Strength and Conditioning Coach of Italy for RWC 2023\, George Petrakos returns to the Free Jacks programme for 2024 where he brings an excellent portfolio of player development and performance standards at a high level. \nThe cost for access to all three presentations is $200 and includes match tickets to the Free Jacks game later on that day. Individual sessions cost $70.
