The Free Jacks Fan Chapters are key groups around the world that share in our core beliefs as an organization–community, hard-work, and having fun. Our fan chapters help encourage others to join in the Free Jacks experience, grow the love of rugby, whether home or abroad, and of course strive to bring joy to others. These groups educate and share The Free Jacks Way with new fans and enjoy connecting with like-minded supporters in their area.  

Free Jacks Fan Chapters are different from Free Jacks Supporters Groups. The latter are intimately involved in match day festivals and include active groups of 50 or more members. Fan Chapters are a minimum of 5 and can be anywhere in the world. You may be a member of multiple Fan Chapters and Supporters Groups. 

Wherever you are in the world, creating an Official Free Jacks Fan Chapter is a fantastic way to bring together like-minded fans in your area to watch games at a local meeting place or get together to help coach a flag-rugby team, or to volunteer at a local soup kitchen, and / or many other ways to manifest The Free Jacks Way with others.

Free Jacks hold our team, staff, fans, and community to the highest standards, and as we all continue to grow this amazing experience and share with others we expect all recognized fan chapters to do the same.  To become an officially recognized Free Jacks Fan Chapter, the following requirements must be met:

• This is a free service provided by the Free Jacks. There is no administrative fee.
• Register yourself here.
• Come up with a name (relevant to where in the world you are supporting from). Each fan chapter is to be named after the neighborhood/region/town/city/state they are based followed by the words “Free Jacks”. Other words may be used, non-offensive of course. Examples include, “The 1776ers Wollaston Free Jacks” 
• Invite people to join!
• Your Fan Chapter will be officially recognized on the Free Jacks website once you have at least 5 people registered. 
• Provide the office with proof of all parties in the group.
• Publish your first social media post and be sure to tag the Free Jacks.
• Plan your first watch party and invite additional guests. 
• Logo and name must be approved by Free Jacks.
• Formal agreement stating the group’s commitment to the Free Jacks Way; to the organization’s commitment to community, hard work, and joy; and to the values and ethos of the game of rugby. 
• Uphold and enforce the Free Jacks Code of Conduct amongst its members.
• Embrace all who are willing to support Free Jacks no matter race, national origin, religion, political view, sexual orientation or gender; violence and prejudice will never be tolerated.
• Be respectful to all other Free Jacks supporters, opposing fans, players, staff, referees, city officials, and others, at matches, online, or anywhere else; this includes all other supporter groups in the MLR.
• Semi-annual communication with Free Jacks staff to help stay updated with the what is going on with the club, community and other fan chapters.
