Strap on your lederhosen and grab your Champs merch because It’s time to relive the MLR Championship buzz and welcome home the Free Jacks to the 2024 Champtoberfest.
Kick off the day by watching home grown talent show their skills at the Free Jacks Academy Combine. Grab a beer at the Champs Beer Fest while bopping along to the sounds of Oompah Band, Tubafrau.
After quaffing your beer, oompah your way to the field to welcome your New England Free Jacks back to Fort Quincy for the 2024 home opener, as they take on 2023 Eastern Conference Final rivals, Old Glory D.C.
Keep the celebration alive and join us at the Post Match Party where Quincy’s own DJ Phil will be spinning some tunes.

Free Jacks take on Old Glory D.C. on March 9th at Veterans Memorial Stadium for the Free Jacks’ 2024 Home Opener and 2023 Major League Rugby Championship banner raising.
In what will be a grudge match for the ages, D.C. returns to Veteran Memorial Stadium for the first time since leaving their championship final hopes at the gates of “Fort Quincy” in the 2023 MLR Eastern Conference Final
This time Old Glory returns with Scottish international Rob Harley, who played an astonishing record 267 caps for Glasgow Warriors,in hopes to defeat their most fierce eastern conference rivals. Will Old Glory be able to settle an old score? Or can the Free Jacks continue to build on their 6-1 all time record against D.C.? Be sure to watch live from Veterans Memorial Stadium.
POST GAME PARTY
There’s no better community experience in sports than a Free Jacks Post Match Party.
After the final whistle, fans, players, owners, opposition and the Quincy community are welcomed to the field to continue the fun.
Meet and greet your favorite players and share great times with friends old and new while DJ Phil spins some classic party tunes.

Get a Taste of the Quincy Alps starting at 12pm ET as adults will enjoy a range of seasonal beers and lagers from our craft partners, in addition to classics like Oktoberfest and New England IPA, as well as ciders.

The perfect sound track to a Champtober Fest, The TubaFrau Hofbräu Band is a lively traditional German oompah band that brings the ‘toberfest’ to our Champs.
Performing German, Swiss, Austrian and Bavarian lively dance music featuring sing-alongs and sounds from the Alpine horn.
Bring your lederhosen and prepare to yodel.

Quincy’s own Hott Smoke BBQ will by cranking the big smoker and the grill in the Fan Zone.
With influences from Texas and Georgia, Hott Smoke BBQ creates delicious offerings that will WOW your senses as we take the Fan Zone action to the next level.

The New England Free Jacks are excited to kick-off the 2024 MLR Home Season by hosting a Free Jacks Academy combine for all players aged 14 and over. This combine will see participant’s execute a range of different skill/technique based stations being evaluated by Free Jacks Staff and Players.
This combine is open to all male and female players throughout New England at all levels.
