free jacks take on SEATTLE SEAWOLVES in the 2024 coffee cup – 2.00 pm

Seattle Seawolves return to Veterans Memorial Stadium on April 20th, their first appearance in New England since 2022. 

When these two teams meet they play for ‘The Coffee Cup’, a long standing quip about the coffee heritage of both cities. Seattle, who have two MLR championships, head to New England with a vendetta after losing to the Free Jacks at home in 2023. Failing to win the western conference final, the Seawolves brought in Australian International Tevita Kuridrani in hopes to see some impact in the backline. 

Having only ever lost to Seattle once, in the 2020 pandemic-plagued canceled season, the Free Jacks maintain a clean record against Seattle at home, something director of rugby Allen Clarke will be eager to change, but will the newest members of the Seawolves be enough to steal the win from the Free Jacks who hold an impressive record at Veterans Memorial Stadium?

POST GAME PARTY – 4:00 pm

There’s no better community experience in sports than a Free Jacks Post Match Party. After the final whistle, fans, players, owners, opposition and the Quincy community are welcomed to the field to continue the fun.

Aquanett will be joining the stage and putting on a performance unlike anything you have seen before…or at least since 1991! Imagine it’s the late 80’s, You’re in Hollywood walking the Sunset Strip, Bands like Motley Crue and Guns and Roses rule the world. You pull up the collar of your denim vest, push back the volume in that hair and you head your way to see some Hair Metal.

Get the hairspray ready, dust off that denim and be prepared to rock out to your favorite hair band anthems

ipa & friends fest – 12:00

Festival goers sipping on award winning beers will enjoy the neon pulse of leg warmers throbbing with every air-guitar thrust as glitter cascades down leather jackets in the crisp spring air of Fort Quincy. 

Laughter and the potent punch of hops will hang thick in the air, as we celebrate all the great New England, American, and wild IPAs from some of the best craft breweries, while airspray-stiffened mullets bob above a sea of ripped denim and neon spandex, and a crowd sways to the blistering riffs of legendary hair-metal cover band, Aquanett, spitting fire like Axel Rose himself. 

We will have you reliving your best memories of the early years of MTV, mix tapes, and metal. Bring your mullets, makeup, and acid washed jeans as we enjoy together the sweet buzz of an epic 80s revival.

fAN ZONE – 12:30pm

Grab yourself a glass of local craft beer from the IPA & friends fest, while you jam to The Brat Pack who’ll be playing all your favorite 80’s Pop, Rock and New Wave classics.

When all that rocking gets you hungry, take your ‘Twisted Sister’ and the rest of your ‘Mötley Crüe’ to find ‘The Cure’ at our newest local food vendor. 

Once ‘Thin Lizzy’ has had a bite to eat, grab a beer and head to your seat to watch Free Jacks take on Seattle Seawolves in the Coffee Cup.

trailblazers trophy – 8.30 pm

The New England Free Jacks are excited to bring together the club rugby community this spring through the Women’s Trailblazers Trophy Tournament. This event will showcase the fantastic club rugby scene that New England has to offer as a part of our Mixtape Festival before the Free Jacks take on Seattle Seawolves. We encourage all Club Supporters and Team Members to don your club colors in the stands as we look to pack out Veterans Memorial Stadium for the big match!

The New England independents take on the Atlantic Privateers.
