To our Free Jacks Family:
We have been closely monitoring the developments surrounding the spread of COVID-19 in the greater New England area and have been in touch with officials from both the Department of Public Health for the State of Massachusetts and Major League Rugby in regard to Saturday’s match at Union Point Stadium.
As of now, the New England Free Jacks game is scheduled to go on as planned. We encourage all of our fans planning on attending to adhere to the following guidelines:
• If you are feeling sick or have been in contact with someone who has been showing symptoms in the last fourteen days, please stay home. We love the passion our fans have for rugby and the Free Jacks, but health and safety must come first. We encourage you to tune into NESN and cheer the Free Jacks on from home if you are feeling ill or have the sniffles.
• Be mindful of handshakes and high fives. We anticipate an exciting match against the Houston Saber Cats but consider celebratory fist bumps to cheer on the Free Jacks.
• Wash your hands! Union Sports Complex will have additional washing stations on-site and we encourage everyone in attendance Saturday to use liberally.
We want to emphasize that the health of our fans, players and staff is our top priority and we are continuing to actively monitor the situation. As more information regarding COVID-19 and the potential impact of Saturday’s match is learned, we will be sure to keep the Free Jacks Family updated.
