In a Boston vs. LA match-up, the New England Free Jacks (6-2-0, 29 points) outlasted RFC Los Angeles (1-6-1) to score a 34-12 win. The victory was the defending Major League Rugby champs’ sixth win in eight matches.

Highlighting the Free Jacks’ five-try effort were Reece MacDonald and Danyon Morgan-Puterangi who each chased down kicks with long runs and diving sets in the second half. Puterangi had a two-try performance. Andrew Quattrin and Seta Baker also added Free Jacks’ braces.

The first-place Free Jacks are six points clear of second-place Chicago, who visit Veterans Memorial Stadium in Quincy on Sunday at 12 p.m.
