BOSTON — February 26, 2020 —The New England Free Jacks today announced a marketing and business partnership with Delta Air Lines. Delta will serve as a title sponsor of the Lantern Suite, a 200-person hospitality space at Union Point Stadium, where the Free Jacks will play their home games for the 2020 inaugural season of Major League Rugby. Delta will also partner with the franchise’s future rugby foundation aimed at increasing access to the sport in New England.

Delta is Boston’s fastest-growing carrier by daily departures and has more than doubled domestic daily departures in the last five years. Together with its SkyTeam and joint venture airline partners, Delta offers more than 150 daily departures to more than 50 destinations from Logan International Airport. In 2020, Delta will launch four new trans-Atlantic flights from Boston, including new seasonal service to Rome, the carrier’s second daily flight to Paris and new service to London-Gatwick and Manchester. The carrier will also extend seasonal service between Boston and Edinburgh and Lisbon, two popular destinations added in 2019, and non-stop seasonal service to Dublin resumes on March 12.

The Free Jacks began their Inaugural Season in Major League Rugby on February 8 in Las Vegas as part of Major League Rugby’s Vegas Weekend. The New England-based rugby team will play its home opener at Union Point Stadium in Weymouth, Mass., on March 14, St. Patrick’s Day Weekend, against the Houston SaberCats.
The Delta Air Lines Lantern Suite at Union Point Stadium offers the principal hospitality experience at Free Jacks matches. Located on the berm viewing platform at the north side of the field, the suite delivers a comfortable reception-style environment with indoor and outdoor viewing areas.
