The Free Jacks are proud to announce the newest addition to the New England front row, Foster Dewitt. At 25 years of age, the young Canadian talent has much to prove entering his first year in the MLR.
Born in British Columbia, Dewitt has had plenty of experience at both hooker and loosehead prop. He attended The University of British Columbia where he represented the Thunderbirds from 2014-2016. From there he moved on to play for Westshore RFC in Victoria before joining the Rugby Canada National Development Academy (Pacific Pride) in 2020.
This year Dewitt was selected to Canada’s 32-man squad, touring the UK in July against Wales and England, making his first international cap as a member of an international team.
Excited to get to work, Dewitt exclaims that he’s “extremely grateful for the opportunity given to me by the Free Jacks and can’t wait to get down to New England to start building for the upcoming season.” The team has high hopes for the youthful Dewitt with the energy and determination that he brings to the forward pack

Foster is a strong unit and possesses the ability to play both Loosehead Prop and Hooker effectively for us.”

Foster is a down to earth bloke with a high work rate which really resonates with this team. We are excited to get him onboard.”
An exciting addition to the New England team, Dewitt’s vitality adds plenty of depth to the Free Jacks’ front row. Look forward to seeing Dewitt booted up in Quincy come springtime for the much anticipated 2022 season.
