Free Jack February Coach Development Clinic
This coach development series, led by the New England Free Jacks 2026 coaching staff, is designed to offer high school, collegiate, and club coaches alike from the New England region an opportunity to further develop and hone their coaching skillsets.
The program will run on Wednesdays, February 4th, February 11th, and February 18th from 7:30-8:30 PM EST.
The program will be structured so that each of the three sessions will have a different focus and will be primarily led by the according coach while focusing on how to organize and coach tactical fundamentals in Rugby.
Session 1, 2/4/26 – Focus on coaching game management fundamentals (exiting and kick strategy) as well as basic attacking principles led by New England Free Jacks and Northland Taniwha Head Coach, Ryan Martin
Session 2, 2/11/26 – Focus on coaching the set piece fundamentals (lineout, maul, and scrum) led by New England Free Jacks and Bay of Plenty Steamers Forwards Coach, Pingi Tala’apitaga
Session 3, 2/18/26 – Focus on coaching basic defense and defensive systems led by Free Jack #1, internationally capped lock, and new Free Jacks Defense Coach, Josh Larsen
