New Free Jacks IPA Recipe Released By Baxter To Be Debuted At Home Opener

WHY BAXTER BREWING?

One very special attribute that the New England Free Jacks and Baxter Brewing Company share is the desire for continuous improvement. Greatness doesn’t stop once it’s achieved, but instead is earned through hard work and constantly asking yourself “what’s next?”

The New England Free Jacks exploded into the greater Boston professional sports scene in 2018 as an expansion to the first ever professional rugby union established in North America: Major League Rugby. Completing their first official season in 2021, the Free Jacks quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the pitch having the highest winning percentage in MLR across their three full seasons to date. With two postseason appearances in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the Free Jacks claimed their first Major League Rugby Championship shield in 2023! The greatness of the Free Jacks organization isn’t left on the pitch after a match day; just like the team here at Baxter Brewing, the New England Free Jacks organization always strives to achieve greatness in search of the next best thing.

Baxter Brewing opened its doors in 2011, and since then, we’ve been crafting quality, drinkable beer for the New Englander in all of us. We aim to be approachable and consistent while providing a wide variety of beers (and hard seltzers) for everyone to enjoy. Initially inspired by the complexity and hop profiles of West Coast IPAs, our flagship beer, Stowaway IPA came to life, and since then, we’ve brewed almost every type of beer you can think of, from juicy, Triple IPAs, to clean crushable lagers, rich stouts, and everything in between.

FREE JACKS IPA

After the inception of the Free Jack x Baxter Brewing partnership in 2020, the first iteration of Free Jacks IPA was brewed! The East Coast IPA, created to represent the origin of both brands, was dry-hopped with hefty amounts of Simcoe and Strata hops, resulting in notes of citrus and berries. While the first Free Jacks IPA was delicious and a fan favorite, we wanted something bright to match our champions for their 2024 season!

In the spirit of collaboration and innovation, Baxter Brewing and the New England Free Jacks are proud to present our new and improved Free Jacks IPA! This 6% New England IPA pours a bright, vibrant yellow with a flavor profile to match. Brewed with copious amounts of Citra and Mosaic hops, this beer is packed with notes of juicy citrus, ripe stone fruit, and berries for a flavor experience that’s just as exciting as the Free Jacks match you’re watching and a scrum-ptious addition to your weekend.
